Social Protection Department

SUBJECT:    DISTRIBUTION OF WORK IN DIFFERENT SECTIONS OF THE SOCIAL PROTECTION DEPARTMENT, GOVERNMENT OF SINDH.

                         Section Officer (Authority) oversee all work related to:

  1. Execution of Provincial Schemes under ADP of the Social Protection Department and the Sindh Social Protection Authority in close coordination with P&D Department, Government of Sindh.
  2. Processing of PC-I of Schemes/ Projects.
  3. In addition to this, he would co-ordinate with the Sindh Social Protection Authority for timely completion of the Project tasks.
  4. Coordination with Planning & Development Department, Government of Sindh.
  5. Departmental Development Working Party (DDWP) Meetings
  6. Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) Meetings
  7. Monitoring & Coordination of ongoing / new schemes
  8. Any other task assigned by the Competent Authority.

 

Section Officer (Admin-I) to deal with all matters related to:

  1. Administration of the Social Protection Department,
  2. POL Management
  3. Inventory Management
  4. Human Resource Management.
  5. Preparation of Parawise comments of all legal cases pertaining to the department including Ombudsman Cases
  6. Inter Departmental Co-ordination
  7. Reimbursement of Medical Bills of Employees of Social Protection Department (Secretariat Side)

Section Officer (Admin-II) to deal with all matters related to:

  1. All matters pertain to Receipt and Issue domain of Social Protection Department
  2. All leave cases of the Employees working in the Department
  3. Nomination for Domestic/Foreign Trainings
  4. Constitution of Enquiry Committees/ Procurement Committees
  5. Nomination of Focal Persons
  6. Supply of Stationary and other necessary articles to the offices
  7. Upkeep and cleanliness of the office premises
  8. Any other matter assigned by the competent authority.

Section Officer (Accounts/DDO) allow to do all work pertaining to:

  1. Maintenance of Account of Social Protection Department, Government of Sindh.
  2. Budget, Finance & Expenditure especially in context of Drawing & Disbursement Officer.
  3. Communication of quarterly budget from Finance Department for Release of Funds.
  4. Work in Liaison with AG Office for passing of bills.
  5. Forwarding of SNE Proposal
  6. Release of Withheld SNE Amount
  7. Circulation of Budget Call Circular
  8. Forwarding of Re-Appropriation proposals and Audit Copy of authentication
  9. Other Misc. Budget related Matters
  10. Reconciliation of Accounts
  11. Meetings of Public Accounts Committee and Departmental Accounts Committee.
  12. Forwarding of draft paras to Director General Audit, Sindh for Audit Comments;
  13. Signing of working papers of draft paras by Secretary Social Protection Department for Public Accounts Committee meeting.
  14. Any other matter assigned by the competent authority.
