Introduction

Government of Sindh has established Social Protection Department (SPD) vide SGA&CD Notification No. SORI(SGA&CD)1-112/2022 dated: 18th May, 2022. The department is mandated to interalia support and facilitate Sindh Social Protection Authority in formulating, implementing and evaluating social protection policies and programs tailored to meet the specific needs of vulnerable segments of the population in the province. The overarching goal is to establish a robust social protection system in coordination with all stakeholders including National, Provincial Governments and donor agencies.
